The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has officially announced a planned water supply disruption in the South Surat (Udhna-A Zone) due to critical upgrade and maintenance work at the Udhna Chikuwadi Water Distribution Center.
Reason for Disruption:
This scheduled work includes:
- The connection of a new 40 lakh litre underground water tank, and
- Thorough cleaning of the existing tank to enhance the distribution system and water quality.
Due to the scale of the operation, residents of the affected areas will face an interruption in water supply over a two-day period.
Date & Time of Work:
- Monday, June 23, 2025, starting from 8:30 AM onwards
📍 Affected Areas:
Residents in the following locations are likely to experience water supply issues:
- જુના બમરોલી (Old Bamroli)
- ગોપાલક વિસ્તાર (Gopalak Area)
- આશાપૂરી સોસાયટી (Ashapuri Society)
- રામેશ્વરમ હિલ્સ (Rameshwaram Hills)
- શંખગુલ રેસિડન્સી (ShankhGul Residency)
- કૈલાશનગર (Kailash Nagar)
- પાંડેસરા ગામ (Pandesarā Village)
🚨 Impact on Water Supply:
- June 23 (Evening): Water supply will be unavailable in the listed areas.
- June 24 (Morning): Expect low-pressure, disrupted, or no water supply as the system stabilizes after maintenance.

The Surat Municipal Corporation is urging all residents in the impacted areas to store sufficient water in advance to avoid inconvenience during the disruption period. This proactive measure can ensure that essential daily needs are met while work is in progress.
