The water supply across six zones of Surat will be affected on 21st February due to the relocation and development work of the water pipeline network. The disruption will impact several areas under different SMC zones as part of the ongoing repair work, during which the water supply will remain suspended or come with low pressure.
List of Areas Affected:
- Varachha Zone A & B
- South Zone (Udhna)
- South-East Zone(Limbayat)
- Central Zone
- South-West Zone (Athwa)
Advisory for Residents
Authorities have urged residents in the affected zones to take necessary precautions, including:
- Storing an adequate amount of water in advance.
- Using water judiciously during the disruption period.
- Avoiding wastage to ensure sufficient availability for essential needs.
The SMC has assured that its teams will work efficiently to restore normal water supply at the earliest. Residents are advised to stay updated with official announcements for further developments.
