The Surat Dindoli Police Station’s surveillance team has successfully apprehended six individuals who were illegally practicing medicine without proper medical qualifications in the Dindoli Navagam area. This operation was carried out by Surat Police with meticulous planning, involving the use of dummy patients to uncover the fraudulent activities.

During the raids conducted at their clinics, the police seized medical equipment and goods valued at ₹56,000. Among the confiscated items were allopathic medicines, injections, glucose bottles, antibiotics, and other medical supplies. These items were being used by the accused to treat unsuspecting patients, putting their health and lives at significant risk.
Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to holding BEMS degrees, which are not recognized as valid qualifications for practicing modern medicine. They further admitted that they had previously worked as assistants in pharmacies, where they gained basic knowledge of medicines and treatments. Armed with this limited knowledge, they set up their own clinics and began practicing, endangering the lives of numerous people in the process.

The police have highlighted the grave threat posed by such unqualified practitioners, who not only violate the law but also compromise public health. Authorities have assured the public that strict action will be taken against such individuals to prevent similar incidents in the future.
