The much-awaited International Kite Festival is back in Gujarat, bringing a vibrant spectacle to celebrate the spirit of Uttarayan. Organized annually to promote the festival on a global scale, this event invites kite enthusiasts and flyers from across the country to showcase their skills and creativity. This year, the International Kite Festival 2025 will be hosted by the Gujarat Tourism Corporation from January 11 to January 14. The grand inaugural ceremony is set to take place on January 11 at 9:00 AM at the Vallabh Sadan Riverfront in Ahmedabad, marking the beginning of this four-day extravaganza.
Also, at Surat Kite festival will be organized on 13th January at Adajan. This year, 143 kite flyers from 47 countries, along with 52 kite flyers from 11 states in India, will participate in the festival. Additionally, 417 kite flyers from 11 cities in Gujarat will also be taking part.

The inaugural event of the International Kite Festival 2025 promises a vibrant start with an array of attractions. A grand cultural program will set the stage, followed by the soulful Aditya Stuti Vandana recited by Rishikumars. Adding to the spectacle, a parade featuring both international and national kite flyers will showcase the diversity and talent of participants.
Visitors can look forward to night kite flying, an enchanting display of illuminated kites lighting up the sky. The evening will also host a captivating cultural program. For those eager to learn, kite workshops will provide hands-on experiences. Additionally, handicraft stalls and refreshment stalls will offer a delightful shopping and dining experience, making the festival a complete celebration for all ages.
